Kirsten, Megan, and Jessie are back for episode 21 of Unusual Ef’pod for a very special project! Just in time for the twenty-first episode, we are beginning our 21 Thunder review series.
Episode 1 (“Pilot”) Recap: We start off with an introduction to Montreal Thunder, where the U21 coach is vying for an Ivorian galáctico. Ana Messina, club owner, hires former Canadian international Christy Cook as an attacking coach, much to the disdain of Coach Rocas. Junior makes his bones on the team, and Nolan’s past returns with a vengeance.
Cook, played by Stephanie Bennett, is a national team hero, five-time player of the year (only five?), and Olympic medalist.
Our post-watch party recap includes Kirsten, our 21 Thunder newbie, explains the episode. We discuss shirtless quotas, whether we could handle Davey Gunn’s 60 in 60 drinking game, and the questionable word choices (dill weed?). Jessie’s mom makes a guest appearance to discuss tweets. Who is the snake from Malmö, why do we have to hear the word “squirtfest,” and what is Junior hiding?
This is our first in the series of 21 Thunder reviews, and we are looking forward to more during the holidays. If you would like to join in to our next watch party, please fill out our Google Survey so we can plan the best time and announce it!
