After months and months of silence, Unusual Efforts is preparing to rise from the ashes like a freakin’ gorgeous phoenix, except we’re not planning on exploding into flames and burning the site down to ashes. As hypnotic as flames are, fire tends to get out of control really really fast, and we don’t want to be responsible for any more messes. But the rising up, lasting 500 years and using our magical tears to save lives…well, that’s all totally true. Trouble is, we need a little help. So we’re putting the question to you: What can Unusual Efforts do for you?
As we’ve mentioned, dreams are fucking hard work, and turns out that having a frozen pelvis makes achieving those dreams all the more difficult (I’m not going to link you to a description of a frozen pelvis because I don’t want to be responsible for your nightmares. Suffice it to say it makes it difficult to walk around and almost impossible to sit up. Here, have a hedgehog instead). But once you can acknowledge that following dreams is not easy–and you get that pelvis unlocked–you can sit up, stand up, rise up, and say that you’re ready to come back, but with a site/brand/presence that suits the community you’re helping to grow.
So again we ask, what can Unusual Efforts do for you?
I’m coming at this from the position of barely being a millennial, and thus being so behind the times that I didn’t know how to add a gif to a tweet when we started this site. I don’t know the best platforms to be on, the best ways to reach out or the best means of sharing content. Hell, I don’t know what the best content even is. I’d much rather read something than watch a video or listen to a podcast or…there’s probably another means of presenting content that I don’t even know about. Again, that’s where you come in.
What content are you looking for? How often should it be given to you? Where are you most likely to see it? Do we need a site redesign? An image overhaul? More presence on social? Other ways of developing the Effortista community?
And, to shamelessly paraphrase the words of John F. Kennedy, do ask not only what Effortistas can do for you, but what you can do for Effortistas. Are you a master at social media? Would you like to add witty words to our Twitter feed during matches? Do you love web design, or graphic art? Can you convince people to give us cash in return for awesomeness, or do you have some spare change lying around that you’d like to give us yourselves? Or do you simply want to create for us? Please, get in touch, whether through the inquiry form, email, Twitter, or carrier pigeon (frankly, we’d prefer you avoid that last one).
Above all, we are committed to our mission: a site that creates an inclusive community by fostering, publishing and promoting the (soccer/football) creations of non-men. Please, tell us your ideas of how we can better do so.
